RESOLUTE Partners joins with video theater expert to bring entertainment services to U.S. Military recreation centers.
Southington, CT: Jay Dobensky, a technical advisor to the DIY Network show, Man Caves, will work with Resolute Partners to design and engineer recreation center versions of RESOLUTE's popular CZee CyberZone Internet cafes. Jay recently worked with Man Caves to renovate the USO center at Camp Virginia in Kuwait.
His work included the installation of a twenty-four seat mini movie theater, complete with platform seating for the cinema-style chairs, a 120 inch movie screen and projector, a true stadium surround sound system, and a touch-screen remote control for one button operation of the entire system. He also installed several flat panel televisions and a secondary stereo system. Jay also provided technical guidance for networking Xbox-based gaming "pods" featuring flat panel monitors and custom gaming chairs.
CZee CyberZones are located on military bases across the United States, in Germany, Kuwait and Iraq. CyberZones provide recreational computing, online gaming, Internet access, email and chat to service members in need of a little rest and relaxation. Service members play popular PC games such as World of WarCraft, Battlefield, Call of Duty and they spend time connecting with families, friends and loved ones.
RESOLUTE has agreements with the U.S. Marine Corps, the Navy, AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service) and the Coast Guard to provide recreational computing, Internet access and other technology services.
RESOLUTE is bundling the video theater design into a comprehensive package created to help military recreation centers run more smoothly, provide high quality entertainment and to help improve the quality of life for U.S. service members who are stationed overseas or at home.
Morale, Welfare and Recreation officers and recreation center managers can select from a range of package components that include:
-
Video theater design and renovation – with new or existing hardware
- Regular maintenance, repair and software updates of PC computers – new or existing hardware
- CZee CyberZone PC stations with large flat screen monitors
- Monitored Internet connection with dynamic content filtering, virus and intrusion protection
- Latest, most popular game titles - regularly updated for PC and console gaming
- Latest DVD movie titles
- Custom kiosks for Xbox console games – with new or existing hardware
- Laptop Lounge – Wi-Fi connection and comfortable furniture for leisure Internet browsing
Using these services, recreation center staff will be free to spend more time developing and promoting entertainment activities for center visitors including tours and trips, game nights and events.
Costs for a recreation center renovation vary depending on the condition of the existing facility, hardware and equipment, and whether new hardware is required. RESOLUTE will conduct a site review and work with MWR or facility managers to find the most efficient way to engineer the components and select the necessary services. RESOLUTE is capable of installing and servicing recreation centers for troops anywhere in the world including Iraq and Afghanistan.
